Beginning a career in New York city can be both daunting and exciting. It can be a little daunting because the cost of living is so high, but it can also be exciting because New York has so much to offer. Unlike other cities, job opportunities in New York are in a wide range of fields. For example, many of the best paying jobs in Houston are mainly in the oil industry, and some of the best paying jobs in San Francisco are primarily in the technology field.

If you are looking to start a career in finance, you should be able to find quite a few opportunities in New York city. This includes opportunities at major investment banks like JP Morgan and Wells Fargo. These banks are always on the lookout for the next generation of talent, which is why they recruit heavily at colleges and universities. In order to increase your chances of getting a job at one of these major banks, you should have a degree in international banking or corporate finance. It would also be helpful if you spoke at least two languages. This is because most banks today (including those in New York), are seeking to expand their services in international countries.

Most major fashion brands have a presence there, which includes brands like Michael Kors, Burberry and Calvin Klein. All of these companies are good training grounds to learn the ins and outs of the fashion industry.

In addition to being a great place for fashion job opportunities, New York city is also a good place to be if you are an up-and-coming fashion designer. New designers often find success in New York because there is a strong fashion community and industry network. Getting involved in the local fashion community will help you make some good industry contacts.

A large number of CEOs and celebrities live in New York, and most always need someone to help them schedule their appointments, cook their meals and do their personal shopping.
